Learn Italian in Italy while improving your singing skills at Centro Studi Italiani
The Centro Studi Italiani Opera Festival takes place every summer and offers, through its dedicated Italian Language for Opera Courses, young singers and instrumentalists the opportunity to focus on the intensive study of the Italian language while working on their Italian repertoire and performing in front of an Italian audience.
Features
Different types of Opera Programs for vocalists, instrumentalists, pianists, coaches, accompanists are hosted each year. Programs’ length varies from 2 to 5 weeks and they all include daily study of the Italian language, along with conversation and cultural classes. All opera programs include individual weekly coaching sessions with particular emphasis on Italian art songs and/or operatic repertoire.
Throughout the festival, numerous performance opportunities are available, both in Urbania and throughout the Marche region.
Each summer, vocal master classes are presented in each Opera Program. Since 1985 students and faculty have enjoyed attending master classes held by internationally acclaimed artists and pedagogues such as Fedora Barbieri, Anita Cerquetti, Enza Ferrari, Mirella Freni, Luisa Macnez, Eva Mei, Mario Melani, Paola Molinari, Maria Parazzini, Bruno Praticò, Cecilia Valdenassi, Alberto Zedda, Mariella Devia, Barbara Frittoli, and Richard Bonynge.
